The first point of contact would normally be your, or the affected person's, GP.  The GP may then arrange an appointment with one or more of the following:

  • Another GP who specialises in this area of work
  • A specialist worker within the local Community Mental Health Team
  • A Social Care Services employee

There is also a network of carers of dementia sufferers in Powys.  They can be contacted through either Powys Carers Service: 01597 823800, or through the Alzheimers Society (see below).
