Schizophrenia and Hearing Voices Index

Schizophrenia is the name psychiatrists use to describe what they see as a form of mental illness.  It is a condition that results in a dramatic disturbance in the individuals' thoughts and feelings: they start to experience the world very differently and their behaviour may change and appear bizarre to others.  However, not everyone who hears voices has schizophrenia.
