Suicidal feelings are frightening, not only for the person experiencing them but also for their partners, family, friends and colleagues. Anxiety and confusion about what to do and how to cope add to a distressing situation.
The Samaritans are there to listen and to support anyone, whatever their problem. They can also help if you are afraid that someone you know is suicidal. The service is confidential and is available 24 hours, 365 days year. Most Samaritan centres offer appointments for face-to-face meetings.
