This website has been carefully developed to provide quick, simple access to information on a wide range of Mental Health Issues.

Finding your way around the website is quite simple, you can either use our dual purpose site search or work your way through our directory of information, alternatively visit our Site Map page and you'll have a full list of all the sections within our website for an ever quicker way of finding the information you need.

Site Search

The site search can be located at the top left hand corner of each page and gives you two options:

• Categories
• Links

If you use the categories links, it searches for sections of the website applicable to your search term, if you choose links, then the system does searches the entire database for pages that contain your search term. You will get a much greater return of search results if you choose "links", but more specific terms if you choose "categories".

Directory of Information

Our extensive database of information is split down into a number of sections, all of which provide information or contact details relating to a specific Mental Health issue.

To begin using the Directory you first of all select from one of the following links down the left hand side of the page:

When you click on a link, a list of sub sections appear in the main part of the screen, if you then click on another topic, that list will then move to the left hand side and in the middle of the page sections related to that topic will then appear. Whilst you are navigating the directory, you will also notice a breadcrumb trail appear below the images at the top of the screen, this breadcrumb trail allows you to quickly navigate back to an earlier level within that section.

We have enabled some important pages on this website with Access Keys. Our Access Keys policy follows that of the UK Government Access Keys Standard. To use access key please follow these instructions:

On a PC:

Hold down your "Alt" key and then press the associated number, release the "Alt" key. If you are not automatically redirected press your return key and you will be taken to the applicable page.

Increasing the size of the Font

Every attempt has been made to ensure that the font size used on this website is suitable for as many browsers as possible, however if you need to increase the font size then please read the applicable instructions below:

  • On the main FireFox toolbar go to View ->Text Size and select your preferred text size, or press and hold the Ctrl key whilst pressing the + key to increase the font size or the - key to decrease the font size
• Netscape Explorer
  • On the main Netscape toolbar go to View ->Text Zoom and select your preferred text size, or press and hold the Ctrl key whilst pressing the + key to increase the font size or the - key to decrease the font size
• AOL Browser
  • Please open up Internet Explorer and then follow the instructions above.

As well as providing you with the ability to change font sizes this website will also work with any preset settings which you may be using to browse websites, such as specific fonts, sizes and colours. There is also a text only version of this website which can be accessed by clicking on the "View Text Version" link in the footer.
