Part-time Volunteer Coordinator
Flintshire Disability Forum
is looking to appoint a part-time, experienced Volunteer Coordinator for a one year project, funded by the WCVA.
Hours 20 hours per week. Monday – Friday. Definite working times are Wednesday and Thursdays between 12noon and 4pm. There is some flexibility as to when the additional hours are worked. There may be occasional weekend / evening work.
Salary £22,221 pro rata + expenses
Base Flintshire Disability Forum office, Town Hall, Earl Road, Mold.
Again, there may be a certain amount of flexibility.
Car driver and use of a car is essential as there will be regular travel around Flintshire.
As the position is only for one year it is essential that the successful applicant has experience of working in this role, understands disability issues and can start soon after appointment. The role involves recruiting, training and evaluating up to 20 volunteers, most of whom will have a disability. The key to sustaining these volunteers is through development of a Mentoring framework both inside and outside of the Forum. A teaching qualification and an understanding of the Welsh language would be an advantage.
