The event is targeted at carers groups, carers, adult learning providers, policy makers and anyone with an interest in this area and will highlight the work of the Open University's Carers' Education Project which has been running since 2010. The event will also provide the opportunity for Carers and Carer organisations to network and share experiences and information about support available.

The event will include additional speakers, workshops, information stands, practice share and networking.
The Carers Trust is the newly merged carers' organisation incorporating Crossroads Care and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. The Open University in Wales is running an award winning carers project offering flexible learning opportunities and bursary funding to carers.
