Melanie contacted DIY Futures project manager Stuart Chadbourne about exploring the power of poetry to reach out and touch people in all sorts of ways that inspire and enthuse, motivate and rouse.
Melanie was keen to engage like-minded people from all across her local community to come together to discuss, declare, debate and share their ideas about poetry, their thoughts about poetry and of course their poems too!
Our plan is to begin a journey around Powys inviting people in many localities to join in a workshop local to them and then to bring the fruits of this voyage to discuss more braodly at the DIY Futures Conference on the 10 October.
So if you wish to join us on this journey of exploration around the hinterland of poetry then we embark on our odyssey around Powys on the 29 May from 2pm to 4pm at CUSOP VILLAGE HALL, LOWER MEAD, CUSOP, HR3 5RW For more information about the Hay event contact Melanie on 01497 820548 or 07811 582 458. If you wish to host/hold an event in you locality then contact Stuart on 07715 132 598 (you can leave a message) or by email stuart.chadbourne@pavo.org.uk
