Mental Health Information Service

Powys Association of Voluntary Organisation’s Mental Health Information Service forms part of the Powys Agency for Mental Health Team. We believe that the most important thing about our service is communication and making sure that we are getting the best information we can to the right people. The whole team is involved in this work, but this isn’t easy and we are always trying to learn how we can do a better job. The best learning comes from your feedback, so please get in touch with your suggestions and ideas. Contact details below or you tell us what you think online at www.surveymonkey.com

Activities

At the moment the main areas of activity that fall under the mental health information service are:

  • Keeping this website up-to-date, relevant and easy to use. How are we doing? Get in touch?
  • Sending out a monthly mental health e-bulletin (we can post copies too). At the moment this goes to about 350 people – voluntary and statutory staff, volunteers, people with lived experience of mental distress and those close to them. Want to be added to the list – let us know?
  • Producing, editing and publishing Powys Mental Health Alliance newsletter every 6 months.  At the moment this magazine is sent to over 800 people either by email or post. Not on the list – let us know and we’ll make sure you get the next copy.
  • Got any mental health question or information query let us know. You can call us or email us and we will try and help with your questions.
  • Not sure what you are looking for or what services and opportunities are available? Again please do get in touch with us and we will try and help.
