Powys Advocacy for Children and Young People (Tros Gynnal Plant)
The advocacy service provided by Tros Gynnal is available to a wide range of young people including:
Looked after children and care leavers
Children in the child protection system
Disabled children known to Children with Disabilities Teams
Children and young people who want to make a complaint about their service from the Local Health Board
Children of 11 years and older who have been permanently excluded from school and wish to appeal against the exclusion.
Young people aged 16-25 who have a learning disability, autism or complex needs
How to make a referral
We mostly take referrals by phone but you can write to us or email us.
We provide issue based advocacy and are currently working alongside over 80 children and young people between the ages of 4 and 25 years to ensure that their wishes and views are listened to and acted upon.
