Suicide Prevention Week - FREE webinar

Join the Mental Health & Wellbeing Show on Zoom Thursday 9th September from 10am to 12pm to raise awareness of Suicide Prevention Day and what we can do as individuals to save lives and prevent suicide.

In the UK, men are three times as likely to die by suicide than women. In the Republic of Ireland, the rate is four times higher among men than women.  While there has been a reduction in the number of people completing suicide over the last ten years, the numbers are still worryingly high.  World Suicide Prevention Day aims to start the conversation about suicide and to show that recovery is possible.

Included in the day will be live talks from organisations who focus on suicide prevention and personal stories on the importance of recovery from suicidal thoughts.

Talks Include:

  • A presentation from Samaritans South Wales Valleys

  • Cocaethylene (Alcohol & Cocaine) Linked Suicides: Facts and Prevention
    Presented by Maggie Cee

  • More to be announced!
