reKINdle – wilderness therapeutic programme with Ystradgynlais Mind

September 13 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Friday, repeating until 18 September 2024

This is an 8 week programme designed to give participants a break from everyday stresses and worries, while spending time in nature as part of a safe, and supportive group.

You will learn about the healing benefits of spending time in nature, be invited to take part in self reflective activities, connect with other people, and feel part of a community.

Sessions will be outdoor based with opportunities to grow in confidence, deepen your understanding of yourself, learn new skills, develop techniques to manage your own wellbeing, have a more positive outlook, and to share thoughts and feelings.

Examples of activities include nature connection, mindfulness, forest bathing, woodland arts and crafts, sensory activities, journaling, bushcraft, campfire cooking, and games. We had huge successes from our pilot programme (- everyone said how much they benefited from taking part in it!)

Who is this programme suitable for?

This is a programme for participants 18+ years old due to funding guidelines. Participants need to be happy to be outdoors during the sessions, we will have sheltered space available if the weather is likely bad.
