Powys Patients Council
Powys Patients’ Council is a project facilitated by the Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO) and aims to give a voice to patients, currently in Felindre Unit, Bronllys Hospital, Powys, who are offered acute in-patient mental health services.
We hold regular, patient-only meetings which give people an opportunity to express their views on the services they receive whilst they are in hospital. These views are then passed on anonymously to ward and hospital management staff, in addition to senior Powys teaching Health Board (PtHB) staff, so that solutions can be found.
We are always looking for volunteers to join The Patients Council and join us monthly on the ward. If you are a compassionate person who has experience of being either a patient on an acute mental health ward or you have cared for someone who has then please do not hesitate to get involved –
