Stand Up! for emotional health and well-being:
new local partnership groups for Powys
Have you experienced emotional distress and been to see your GP about it?
Have you been diagnosed as having a mental health problem?
Have you been a psychiatric in-patient?
Do you attend a local support group or a Recovery and Well-being Centre (e.g. Mind)?
Do you wonder whether you might be eligible for NHS support for your emotional health but worry about stigma and discrimination?
Do you care for, or are you a family member of, someone who has been in contact with statutory adult mental health services?
Do you care about adult mental health provision in the NHS and think it could be better or should be run differently?
If you answered yes to any of these questions (or even if you didn’t and are keen to hear more), please register your interest to participate in new local partnership groups in Powys. These groups (planned in Brecon, Llandrindod Wells, Machynlleth, Newtown, Welshpool and Ystradgynlais) will be an opportunity for members of the public to come together to meet professionals and discuss the way that mental health care is provided in Powys.
Facilitated by Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO) and funded by Comic Relief, the Stand Up! for emotional health and well-being groups will run from 2015 until at least 2018.
Register your interest by contacting Anne Woods at PAVO:
